You can't use what you've never named.
Most people carry a vague sense of it — "I'm good with people," "I'm more of a behind-the-scenes type" — but never put a name to it.
Naming it changes everything. It takes a fuzzy hunch and turns it into a clear next step. And around here, we love going a layer deeper than the surface — it's the whole idea behind Momentum School of
Discipleship. This is that, in miniature.
That's what the assessment is for. Forty-eight quick questions, about seven minutes, no right answers — just honest ones. Don't overthink it, and don't try to give the "spiritual" answer. When you're done, you'll see your top gifts and a full ranking of all sixteen, in plain language you can actually use.
It won't box you in. It'll hand you words for something that's already true about you — you're God's handiwork, made on purpose — and a place to begin. Remember, this church exists to help people know God, find community, and make a difference. This is where the "make a difference" part gets specific and personal.
So don't overthink it. Answer honestly, trust your gut, and find out how you're wired to serve — in this church, and out in your neighborhood.
Ask yourself (or your Life Group):
- If you had to guess right now, how would you say you're wired to help?
- What's kept you from naming or using your gifts so far — time, doubt, never being asked?
- Once you know your top gifts, where's the first place you'd want to try one out — here at CCC or out in your community?
